PIPE BENDER (custom pipe bending)
Bourgneuf industries uses the latest technology in servicing your pipe bending needs. The company has an electric pipe bender that is highly effective for work requiring mass production to produce each bend in seconds. The pipe bender it uses can produce many pipe sizes and types of conduit without changing or adding shoes. A top of the line pipe bender employs highly developed computer technology to program and make precision bends and produce continuous bends at the same precision angle. PIPE BENDER (custom pipe bending) A technique widely used for the pipe bender is rotary draw bending. For starters, the tube is wrapped around either a radius block, bend die or on a rotary draw bender. The normal pipe bender tooling has five basic parts: bend die, clamp block, pressure die, mandrel and wiper die. To contain the pipe during bending, the outside radius of the bend die has a profile of one-half the pipe's cross-section. The bend die, or radius block, also has a straight length, tangent to the radius where the pipe is gripped for bending.
The process of bending pipe for a pipe bender consists of a cold forming process that bends metal piping for good according to the shape of a specific die yet maintaining the original cross-sectional shape. The process of a pipe bender involves reducing the tubular outer wall thickness while augmenting the thickness of the inner wall. Internal and external supports are generally required to produce highly intricate forms from metal piping.
